Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi sikap tenaga kesehatan di bidang psikologi terhadap praktik ritual melukat sebagai terapi psikologis berbasis budaya di Bali. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, wawancara mendalam dilakukan kepada tiga psikolog yang memiliki pengalaman dalam bidang klinis maupun tradisional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melukat dipahami sebagai strategi coping religius yang efektif untuk menenangkan pikiran, memberikan rasa refleksi diri, dan mendukung relaksasi, terutama bagi individu yang memiliki keyakinan terhadap ritual tersebut. Namun, praktik ini tidak dipandang sebagai terapi psikologis utama karena tidak memenuhi standar proses terapi yang terstruktur. Integrasi melukat dalam terapi modern dianggap potensial, terutama jika dikombinasikan dengan teknik psikologi seperti mindfulness dan meditasi. Narasumber menekankan pentingnya penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengukur efektivitas melukat dalam konteks psikologi modern, serta perlunya kolaborasi antara psikolog dan pemuka adat untuk mengembangkan pendekatan holistik yang sensitif terhadap budaya. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru untuk mengembangkan model terapi yang lebih inklusif, menggabungkan pendekatan tradisional dengan metode ilmiah, serta menjawab tantangan sensitivitas budaya dalam layanan kesehatan mental.
